PROJECT fees for schools in East New Britain remain effective, however, parents and guardians will pay only 20 per cent under the Government’s tuition fee policy.
This was revealed by the provincial administrator Wilson Matava on Friday.
Matava, who is chairman of the provincial education board (PEB), outlined the approved PEB
project fees for 2020 to 2022 for all schools and also outlined the amount payable which is 20 per cent for
2022.
The approved project fees for all schools in East New Britain are:

  • ELEMENTARY – K40;
  • PRIMARY – K70;
  • SECONDARY/High School (Day) – K260;
  • TVET (NC) – K300;
  • TVET (Conventional) – K240;
  • SECONDARY/High schools (Boarding) – K380;
  • TVET (NC) – K420; and,
  • TVET (Conventional) – K360

Matava said GTF policy allows church agency schools to charge church agency fees:

  • ELEMENTARY – K5;
  • PRIMARY – K7; and,
  • HIGH/Secondary and TVET – K10.

He added that under the GTF, schools must refund any amount paid beyond these approved project fees.
Matava also urged parents and guardians to settle all outstanding project fees for the previous years.
He also reminded all the school administrations and boards of management to charge parents/guardians according to the PEB-approved project fees and not more.
