THE East Sepik Professional Boxing has established a relationship with neighboring Indonesia to promote and develop the sport of boxing.
The promotional challenges staged were hailed a success and a return match has been scheduled for May or June in Indonesia.
This partnership between East Sepik and Indonesia has the full endorsement of the PNG Professional Boxing Control Board chaired by Bernard Fong.
Fong recently donated one Olympic size ring and two training rings to the East Sepik Professional Boxing association.
The items were officially handed over by Fong to East Sepik Governor Grand Chief Michael Somare. Sir Michael thanked Fong for his generosity and donation of the equipment to the people of East Sepik.
Grand Chief Somare had allocated K50, 000 for the first pro boxing challenge between East Sepik and Indonesia which was staged in early March and was witnessed by more than 3000 people.
