PORT Moresby Vipers second-rower Aaron Kamba says he wants to help his side make the grand final in the 2021 Digicel Cup season.
The 25-year-old was the man-of-the-match in the Vipers’ 26-10 win over Goroka Lahanis in their round six fixture yesterday.
Kamba told The National after the game it was his dream to win a Digicel Cup title.
“My short term goal is to help my team reach the finals and even win the title,” Kamba said.
“It’s my dream to play in the grand final and win so it’ll be great if we as a team could achieve that this year.
“I believe we have a strong squad, great bunch of players in this years’ team.
“If we can get little things right and play consistent (football) then there’s no doubt we can achieve our goals.
“We have struggled in the past three games with no wins but it’s really good to get a win again.”
Kamba is from Kainantu in Eastern Highlands. He made his Digicel Cup debut with the Vipers last year and this is his second year with the club.
Kamba was playing for Owan Titans in Kainantu when Vipers scouts recruited him.
