EC gives K10,000 for awareness

THE Jiwaka Students Association has received K10,000 from the Electoral Commission to carry out awareness campaigns on the national election.
Association president Josephet O’Hara said: “We will focus our awareness mainly on the limited preferential voting system and the
importance of voting.”
He said people should be educated about the importance of their vote so they could choose a good leader who could deliver services to the people.
“Awareness is important. Leaders and individuals from Jiwaka must cooperate with the students to educate the people to change their mindset,” he said.
