EC official: Training crucial

 ELECTORAL Commission officers throughout the country received two weeks of intensive training from May 20 to 31 to prepare themselves for the local level government elections.

PNG Electoral Commission’s director for election operations, Margaret Vagi, said yesterday the training was crucial for the success of the elections.

“We have had training in all the provinces,” she said.

“Two week of intensive training was conducted in all the provinces.The training was mainly attended by our returning officers and assistant returning officers.”
