Eda Ranu must have long term plans for NCD water supply
The National, Monday July 21st, 2014
WHILE the rest of the country are experiencing heavy rains and floods Port Moresby residents continue to face water threats from the only dam that supply the entire city.
This is not the first time the city has experience this problem and I wonder what Eda Ranu has in its long term plan to solve this ongoing problem.
It also make me wonder as if we don’t have any other big river system to supply water into the city and we are relying entirely on the Sirinumu Dam supply.
It doesn’t make sense at all when I heard of the government planning to supply water to Australia when Port Moresby is experiencing such water shortage and threats.
The entire Eda Ranu board and management seem to have no long term plan for this company which is responsible for supplying water into Port Moresby.
Where will we go if water runs out of the dam?
