Eda Ranu must meet the expected demand

Letters, Normal

I REFER to the letter “Fountains come at a wrong time” by “Dry twig” (Dec 31).
While I agree ! with the writer that the timing of launching the fountains was bad, we cannot predict when our water pipes would spring a leak.
Unless Eda Ranu were to replace all the old pipes, we will continue to experience days without water in a country full of clean rivers and bountiful water.
With work on the LNG project starting, we will have more people coming to our beautiful country and it will be wise to change all old pipes and expand the capacity so as to meet the demand.
