EDUCATION secretary Dr Musawe Sinebare has asked all provincial education advisers to submit their 2012 postings list.
He said the lists should be sent to the payroll and related services branch at Waigani by the second week of December.
Sinebare said this was vital for the human resources and organisational division to place the teachers into their respective positions on the establishment in preparation for the 2012 teachers’ resumption.
He told teachers that the Teaching Service Commission decision of 2010 for the teachers to receive fortnightly pays during the Christmas break would still stand.
He said teachers should not expect to receive a lump sum pay at the end of this school year.
He encouraged the teachers to make prior arrangement, particularly those teachers who receive encashable cheques to open a bank account of their choice if they were going away for the Christmas vacation.
He said they should provide details of their new banks to their respective salary centres.
Sinebare has asked for all the provincial authorities to co-operate so that the required information is obtained and forwarded to the headquarters within the time frame required.
