Education policy hailed

Letters

I CONGRATULATE the Government for the 37 per cent to 63 per cent school fee subsidy policy.
This is a perfect shared responsibility formula.
Parents will be paying a little more than a quarter and close to three quarters will be met by the Government of the total school fee payment.
Any future Government who thinks that the school fees from elementary to grade 12 should be 100 per cent subsidised is unrealistic.
It is not real. Papua New Guinea is not America or England, where people live in a service-delivery life.
We are a developing country and we simply do not have the money to fully subsidise the schools fees.
The Government does not own the children nor made the children. Parents should have a sense of responsibility and pay their portion of the fees.
Well done Prime Minister James Marape.
The whole country is behind you.
