STAFF of the Department of Education will be out to mark World AIDS Day tomorrow in Port Moresby.
They will take part in activities involving all officers at the headquarters, as well as teachers and students at schools and institutions across Papua New Guinea.
Acting secretary for education Luke Taita encouraged teachers to involve their students in a variety of learning activities so they could obtain more information about HIV/AIDS.
He also challenged teachers to get their students to learn about HIV/AIDS through activities such as writing poem, carrying out research, performing drama, listening to guest speakers talking about HIV and its impact, writing essay and debate.
He said through these activities, the students would be able to engage in discussions about HIV/AIDS issues and come up with ways to prevent its spread.
