EASTERN Highlands is the second largest province and needs to have a permanent provincial administrator to manage its affairs.
We cannot have people in acting capacity and keep the public service machinery waiting in suspense as to whom they should be reporting.
Since Munare Uyassi left to be the secretary for the provincial and local government, the position has remained vacant.
Can Governor Julie Soso, Lands and Physical Planning Minister Benny Allan and EHP MPs sub-mit the shortlisted candidates to the NEC?
The EHP people need a career officer to be appointed.
We want proper procedures and protocols be followed to avoid any legal challenges that may arise after the appointment.
We are tired of briefcase carriers who ill-advise our politicians and are not qualified.
We appeal to Allan, our only mouthpiece in the highest decision-making body, to table the agenda as a matter of urgency to deliberate the appointment of the provincial administrator.
