ARGUMENTS for the government to extract minerals without the involvement of landowners are baseless, a Hides landowner representative says.
Simon Ekanda made the comments in response to a letter to the editor by Jack Kolis that argued that the Kondra Bill claiming settlers and landowners not giving land rights to government during independence was weak.
“He has not cited a section in the Constitution that confirms his statement,” Ekanda said.
He said the government would make more money under the Kondra Bill.
Ekanda called on the Minister for Tourism, Arts and Culture Boka Kondra to push for the bill.
