CITY Pharmacy Ltd (CPL) has come on board to support the Ela Beach Basketball Club who will be making their debut at the fourth National Souths Basketball League (NSBL) championships in Madang on Friday.

The tournament is one of the biggest, attracting more than 40 teams.

While some teams have already arrived in Madang, some players from Ela Beach Souths flew out on Monday, others yesterday and the rest will leave today.

Club patron Moses Nap has been working around the clock to sort the players and officials airline tickets.

NSBL president Silas said the championship was expected to be opened by Mendi MP and NSBL patron Pr Isaac Joseph, who will also launch the Mainland Super Six basketball tournament.

Other Southern Highlands MPs are also expected to attend the tournament.

Ela Beach Souths are grateful for the support from the City Pharmacy who provided a medical kit and caps for the players.

It will also go a long way to helping the players perform well.

“We take this time to thank Prue Go and her marketing department team for coming  and helping us in the last minute. We thank you. The support should help us perform better.

“We also like to thank NCD Governor Powes Parkop who has pledged to support the club.

Parkop and CPL Group of Companies have been working together and we thank them for coming on board to support us,” club patron Moses Nap said.

“But I am happy to take them there to help them expose their talents and get experience from the game.”
