A CHURCH elder has called on students to be focused, determined and have hope in their future.
During the Assemblies of God (AOG) Secondary School prize-giving ceremony in Lae, Edward Buasin told the students that there was another challenge ahead.
“Set your mind, your focus on what you want to do in life,” Buasin said.
“Be determined. Despite everything, tell yourself you can do it,” he said.
“You want success, be determined and fight for it.
“Be hopeful. When all chances sink and fade, you must have hope and your hope must be built on solid ground.”
Buasin said despite the circumstances, everyone could make it in life.
“When the world says we cannot, we must rise up and say ‘yes we can’,” he said.
“Nothing will stop you.
“The only thing that can stop you is you.
“The greatest prison is your mind.
“You are the only one who will lock yourself and will not succeed,” Buasin said.
