Emotional welcome for Games

TEARS rolled freely from a cry that emanated from the bottom of my heart when watching bystanders exchanging emotional waves with athletes for the Pacific Games transported in conveys from the airport to the Games Village at UPNG.  I will never forget this moment I met in coincidence where I was overwhelmed with tears of joy when I joined other drivers to give way to the convey to pass through at the road passing through Waigini Bus Stop and watched people lineup along the road emotionally cheering at the convey. I believe this emotional reception by the public superseded any other physical ‘first impression’ of the nation you can reach about. Amidst the shedding of uncontrollable tears I was quick to thank God Almighty for putting me at the right place at the right time to enjoy such a marvelous feeling of a life time.
