EMTV’s news coverage poor

I REFER to the letter “Show more local contents please, EMTV” (The National, April 6).
I support the writer’s comments.
EMTV could have used the extra 30 minutes to show what is happening in other provinces.
It is not as if 99% of what is happening in the country  takes place in Port Moresby only.
The news reporters must get their facts right before they go on the air.
In contrast, Kundu 2 news reporters are better and are well-versed with their stories.
It also covers the four regions of PNG.
Kundu 2’s only problem is that its coverage is limited to certain parts of PNG.
EMTV’s management should step up and cover the rest of PNG.
EMTV’s sports segment is woeful and if the NRL season is not on, there is hardly anything to watch.
I wonder if the sponsor of this segment watches the sports news.
As far as I am concerned, the mileage the sponsor gets is pitiful.
Before I forget, can EMTV cameramen adjust the contrast and brightness functions before they start filming?
Most of the time, it is hard to see the faces of the people highlighted in the news.
