ENGA Searching and Recovering Women’s Association president Dian Ambil has called on people not deal with anyone claiming to represent it.
Ambil said some people, especially women in Enga, were going around claiming to represent the association.
She said that was illegal as she was the founder and no one could act or do things on behalf of the association.
Ambil said any deal done without her knowledge would be taken to court.
She said those who conducted such deals and claimed to represent the association were known to her.
She urged provincial members of parliament, business houses and people not to entertain
these people.
Ambil said the association was formed in Enga’s Wapenamanda electorate.
“I want to make it clear that I am the signatory to the account.
“Therefore, in every letter or whatever business venture, I must be informed and my signature has to be on it,” Ambil said.
“If I am not involved, then I will consider it as illegal.”
She said many businesses were being conducted using the association’s name and she would not be held responsible for that.
She said in one case Treasury and Border Development Authority Minister Don Polye promised to pay K135,000 towards the association last year but the association had still not received the money.
