TWENTY Telikom PNG engineers and technicians in IP/data, switching, NGN, access, transmission and information technology recently undertook a weeklong training on multi-protocol label switching (MPLS) in Port Moresby.

The training programme was awarded to Telikom PNG by Commonwealth Telecommunication Organization (CTO), which Telikom PNG is a member, and delivered by training expert Punitashok Rathod from Eagle Photonics in India.

Divisional manager human resources for Telikom PNG Chris Terupo said training for staff was a core value where Telikom PNG was committed to and such training programmes were a result of Telikom’s commitment to continued provision of learning development for its employees.

“Such training will be utilised to contribute to the growth and operations of the company and also to the telecommunications industry in PNG” Terupo said.

Telikom PNG’s learning & development branch is working progressively to run more international training programmes on shore.
