Enough is enough

Letters

I refer to protests and complaints by PMV operators with regards to police road blocks on The National on Wednesday (Oct 23).
This issue should not be taken lightly.
The police hierarchy should pursue this matter to bring those rogue policemen to be questioned. If these policemen are found guilty of day light robbery and stealing people’s money, they should be sacked and put in Bomana for their crimes.
These police officers have been robbing innocent passengers and the PMV owners thousands of kina.
They are a bunch of crooks and wolves in a sheep’s skin, intimidating and threatening the crews and their drivers for money without any good reasons. Please Police Minister Bryan Kramer, we appeal to you to look into this matter and weed out these rotten tomatoes.
They are tarnishing the good name of our constabulary.
We know these police officers are thugs and if they continue robbing us and our passengers; let them be warned that we are prepared to stand up to them to defend ourselves and our passengers if the worse comes to worse.
We are ordinary village people and are not millionaires.
We sell our produce for rice and sugar to supplement our diet.
Why these undisciplined policemen steal from us by demanding huge sums of money as fees from illegal road blocks?
Enough is enough.
