Enough sport, more water

Letters

HEAVY investments have already gone into building or refurbishing our sports stadiums to world-class standards and still there is more talk of further investments.
The only reason I can think of is our desire to show others that we have such facilities.
But what good can such stadiums do to support the lives of citizens?
Please leaders, we have spent enough on stadiums so let us stop spending more money on them.
The current stadiums are enough. All we have to do is maintain them.
I would rather see the money spent on the construction of water reservoirs at strategic locations throughout the country.
Climate change is real and here to stay. With it comes unpredictable weather patterns.
We have to prepare for the unexpected.
We can live without sport but we cannot live without water.
