Ensure bus drivers respect passengers

Letters

THE way things are, it seems we are heading towards disaster.
Some PMV buses run at high speed, which is usually above 100km per hour.
Some drivers do not sleep well because they overwork.
Some don’t care about their hygiene and grooming .
Most of them play their music at maximum volume and it’s difficult to hear vehicles approaching them.
Some smoke in the bus without caring about the passengers.
These need to be addressed.
It seems the value of a life has dropped to such a low standard.
The worst bus operators continue to be allowed to operate buses.
Some PMV owners defend their crews’ bad habits.
Why should good people be forced to endure such situations?
How do we change this?
As a regular traveller, this is a real public concern and something should be done about it.
