Escapee behind bars for alleged robbery

A MAN who escaped from police custody while being questioned over a string of armed robbery cases is back behind bars.
Moses Maina, 38, also known as Kange, from Tobuga village, Tambul in Western Highlands appeared before Magistrate Cosmas Bidar in
the Waigani Committal Court last week.
Maina was arrested on May 10 and brought to the Boroko Police Station for questioning over the robbery allegations.
He escaped on May 12 from the police station.
Police re-arrested him at Morata after a tip-off on July 22.
The case has been adjourned to Dec 6.
