WORK on the K5.8 million Maprik rural electrification project by PNG Power Ltd and Maprik MP Gabriel Kapris was launched last Friday.
The completion of the project will connect Wewak town through Wingei from Hayfield.
PNG Power Ltd is currently completing phase one of power supply from Passam to Tonambu (33km) in Yangoru-Saussia district.
Work will proceed to Wingei and eventually to Hayfield in Maprik.
