ESTHER Hamari prays that one day all PNG citizens will be God-fearing advocates of the Christian faith, promoting its teachings and values, and ensuring its perpetuity.
Esther, 50, is from Menya village in Menyamya, Morobe. She has nine children – six from the first husband and three from the second, who is from Finschhafen. She has 10 grandchildren.

“ It is now everyone’s duty to put their faith together and commit the country to the Lord.”

She was among the hundreds of Evangelical Lutheran Church members who attended its 32nd synod at Bonana in Nawaeb, Morobe two weeks ago.
Esther was a “prayer warrior” in the Lutheran church in Menyamya before she joined the Messiah Kingdom Restoration Movement. It is a Christian group who focus their prayers on the country, its leaders, the 22 provinces and the people.
“The Lord God Almighty has a plan for PNG through the Lutheran church as the vessel to relay the gospel throughout the country.
“It is now everyone’s duty to put their faith together and commit the country to
the Lord.”

She calls herself a freedom fighter, “fighting the bondage of sin that has blinded people so they can see the God as their King and Messiah”.
“I was a Lutheran, the daughter of a Lutheran pastor. But I don’t believe in denominations because we all serve the same God. Denominations lead to differences. We should not forget our purpose to do our part by preaching the gospel in our actions, attitude, behaviour, and views towards others, so that they see the Christians values we have.”
Esther and her group of freedom warriors will continue to pray for the national, provincial, and local level governments, churches, public servants and informal sector workers. They vow to fight corruption and bad practices at all levels of government.
“I was a Lutheran, but now I’m just a Christian, a freedom fighter, fighting against corruption, poverty, and all forms of evil bondage holding back people from following God’s will.”
She hopes to see the day when everyone will live up to what is written in the preamble to the Constitution – that PNG is a Christian country.

  • 100% support on this simple but great humble mother/woman warrior for God with her comments and words of encouragement and inspirations to all believers across PNG. I salute you mama, tru tru tok blo you. Denomiminations are leading people astray by creating division amongst other believers. We all serve and paray to the same God and Jesus. The only difference is are we saved as individuals?
