PUBLIC prosecutor Pondros Kaluwin has maintained that evidence of official corruption levelled against Maprik MP John Simon alleging he misappropriated more than K1.6million is sufficient to have the matter proceed to trial.
Kaluwin, made submissions yesterday before a leadership tribunal for Simon in the Waigani National Court.
The tribunal consisted of judge Nicholas Miviri and magistrates Michael Apie’e and Nancy Lipai.
The tribunal was adjourned to next Thursday to decide on the sufficiency of evidence to determine whether the tribunal would proceed.
