A FORMER candidate of the Kompiam-Ambum open electorate in Enga has urged MP John Pundari to explain to the people how he spent the 2013 K10 million district support improvement programme funds.

Matthew Paken, who contested the seat in the 2012 elections as an Indigenous People’s Party candidate, claimed there was “no tangible development” in place.

“I am from the same area and I am concerned when will the MP deliver impact projects,” he said after it was reported that Pundari had presented his 2013 DSIP acquittals to the Office of Rural Development and Implementation in Port Moresby on Friday.

Paken said although he fared badly in the election, he was not jealous of Pundari nor was he opposing him.

“I am speaking as a concerned citizen of the district as my area is not receiving any services from the district administration,” he said.
