Ex-minister highlights education

Education

HAVING access to basic education is a lifelong investment to live prosperously, former state minister Castan Maibawa says.
“Creating avenues to access quality education is very important because education is a lifelong investment and key to success in life,” he said.
Maibawa addressed grade 12 students, parents, teachers and the school management at the Ivingoi Secondary School in South Fore, Okapa, Eastern Highlands, on Thursday.
He was the Okapa MP for 15 years and founded the school to provide high school education close to their homes in South Fore.
“I built the school here so you can have easy access to a good education instead of travelling long and risky journey in search of education,” he said.
Acting Eastern Highlands education director Wesley Albert applauded the efforts of teachers, school management, board and parents.
