THE Papua New Guinea Sports Federation and Olympic Committee (PNGSFOC) has set its sights on making the annual Trukai Fun Run a success.

As excitement builds for the early Sunday morning run, people all over the country will be turning out in their Trukai Fun Run T-shirts to help support Team PNG that will be taking part in the Mini Pacific Games in Wallis and Futuna in September.

PNGSFOC sport development officer Andrew Lepani urged everyone to come out and have fun during the race.

More than K774,000 was raised from the Trukai Fun Run T-shirt auctions. That  money goes towards preparations and Team PNG’s participation at the Mini Pacific Games.

Marshalls and volunteers from different sports will be stationed at certain locations to help ensure that runners stay on route and ensure the safety of everyone.

With Minister for Sports and 2015 Pacific Games Justin Tkatchenko attending the race starts at 6am with registration from 5.30am.
