EXECUTIVES of the Enga provincial council of women will serve for another five years, a meeting has decided.

The decision was made by the majority of the women representatives from the 15 local level governments during a meeting last Friday in Wabag.

Council president Sabeth Yengis will also serve for another five years.

She said she had no choice but to accept the decision as it was made by the majority of the women representatives.

She said, however, that the decision did not stop the respective district women council members from organising their own meetings to change their leadership.

“The decision was made by the majority of the women representatives and I have to recognise it.

“If they want changes in their leadership in the districts with good reasons, they can do so.”
