EXODUS face a stern challenge when they play Saints in the PNG Men’s Basketball League qualifier best-of-three series at the Sir John Guise Indoor complex tonight.
Both teams are looking forward and prepared for this showdown to win the first series.
Exodus beat their opponents three times and start as hot favourites to record another win.
This is the game that will determine the first grand final berth after two or three series, which should go down to the wire in the full FIBA four quarters timing.
The Muri brothers – Dia, Apia, Purari and Bomai – will again lead Exodus, with support from Peter Davani and Raymond Elai as the strike weapons of the team.
Coach Moi Muri relies heavily on his siblings and Davani to call the shots to frustrate the opposition.
Saints athletic Sibona Kala, Mika Loko, Donald Kala, veteran Lawrence Lahari, Terry Melepia Junior and Tony Haro if he plays should monitor these players as they are winners in their own rights.
Saints coach Tasman Samuel has a mammoth task ahead of him with his boys to polish up on their defence in a bid to cause an upset.
