DREAM Inn Exodus maintain their unbeaten record in PNG Basketball League men’s premier division.
The former Capital Basketball League premiers lead the four-team elite competition with six straight wins and are favourites to win the title, the K10,000 winners’ prize money and invitational trip to Australia.
The championship format is similar to the US National Basketball League with the top two teams playing the best of seven games.
There is no semi-final and grand final.
The Exodus attack is spearheaded by the Muri brothers – Dia, Apia, Purari and Bomai – with veteran guard Peter Davani also in peak form.
Their closest rivals are Saints with an impressive group of youngsters in the Kala brothers Sibona and Donald, captain Veuga Taviri and Mika Loko.
Sleeping giants Moni Plus Tamaraws could be a major threat when competition resumes in the New Year with in-form youngsters Gabriel Elavo and Emmanuel Parapa and towering Joe Elavo.
As the competition goes into the Christmas-New Year recess, credit must be given to founders Boyet Daroya, John Vere and Lawrence Lahari, with support from Basketball Federation PNG and the regional  body, FIBA Oceania, for developing basketball to another the next level.
