Explain expensive Coronavirus tests

SOMEBODY should explain why Coranavirus (Covid-19) tests in some hospitals are expensive.
How do you expect an average earner to afford such fees during this tough economic times?
What happened to the Covid-19 funds that the Government received?
Can some of these funds be used to subsidise fees for testing?
The Government should pay hospitals to make testing free for the people.
