Exxon eyeing activities boost as it builds Angore-Hides link

EXXONMOBIL plans to ramp up activity next year in addition to the progress on the Angore pipeline project in Hela, managing director Andrew Barry says.
He said Exxon would tie the Angore field into the production system at Hides.
Barry made the statement in his presentation at the 2017 PNG Mining and Petroleum Conference and Trade Fair at the Stanley Hotel and Suites in Port Moresby yesterday.
“The Angore field lies to the east of our Hides facilities and in order to produce the gas from that field, we are building a new 11-kilometre pipeline and installing production equipment at the Angore Wellpad,” he said.
“Large equipment continues to be flown into Komo, and pipe strings and materials transported along the Highlands Highway.
“We expect the significant trenching and pipe-laying to commence in 2018, with completion of the project expected in 2019.”
The three-day conference will end tomorrow.
