Facilitate the rise in fish farming

 I COMMEND the National Fishery Authority for allocating K716,000 for fish farmers in Southern Highlands. I also commend the provincial fish programme CEO Walete Waruru and her staff for recognising this need. We now see the number of fish farmers increasing in the province every year. There is a need to establish proper markets both within the province and offshore so that farmers have direct access to markets for their produce. It is hoped that the current number of farmers will double up in the next five years. I beg the authorities to prepare well in order to accommodate the increasing number of farmers and also to provide enough market facilities.
