A GROUP of students who fought with another group at the University of Technology campus in Lae last week have denied that a reconciliation ceremony had taken place.
The faction from Enga told The National last Friday that they only held a “dialogue” with the other group from Southern Highlands and there was no peace ceremony.
The two groups clashed over a Student Representative Council decision for students to return to classes.
Council president David Kelma told the students that the boycott would continue next semester and all students needed to return to classes so that they could successfully complete the remaining three weeks of the first semester.
The Engan group’s spokesperson Charles Pepae said the meeting was to assure Southern Highlands students that they would not retaliate.
