Failure is part of life

Letters

IT is really sad that many of our young people are in the streets and villages than in schools.
Many students did not manage to pass their examinations.
Some passed but due to financial constrains, they are not able to make it through.
On the same token, some young people are out there hopeless because they may have been removed from school for breaking school rules.
Let us not forget the real meaning of education.
Education originated from the Latin word educo which means to bring out or bring forth.
We were born into this world complete with greatness inside us placed by our creator.
So our contribution to this world is already in us.
Henry Ford dropped out of high school. However, is he a man of education? Yes, he is.
He is actually the reason why you and I are enjoying cars today because it was his company that invented the Model T engine used by most cars.
Thomas Edison, the inventor of light bulb, is also a man of education though he dropped out of school because his teachers said he was a slow learner.
Orville and Wilber Wright were the inventors of the first plane.
Though they were high school dropouts, they actually brought out the greatness in them making us enjoy plane flights today.
Failure is part of life.
Albert Einstein said that if you have never failed, you have never tried anything new.
The question we should be asking ourselves is, what can I contribute to my country and to the world as a whole? If you have to get back to school and find your passion, why not. If you have to start a business, why not.
If you have to invent something new, why not. I assure you, you are going to fail one way or another.
However, as long as you learn from your failures, nothing will stop you from achieving your goals. What others think of you is none of your business. What matters is what you think of yourself. Build a life that will stand as a monument throughout history.
You will not be remembered for what you get but what you give.
Though Henry Ford, Thomas Edison and the Wight Brothers were high school dropouts, they are still remembered today because they gave more to the world than they received.
What will you be remembered for?
