Fashion team prepares for show

IT is important that organisations and individuals see the potential and opportunities in the creative and cultural industry especially within the fashion and textile space, says PNG Fashion Week managing director Philma Kelegai.
Kelegai said this during a press conference on Tuesday to announce dates for their runway shows in the and also welcomed on board new partners.
Digicel PNG was the latest partner that presented a cheque of K30,000 to the PNG Fashion Week.
Before the main runway show in Port Moresby in October, the
PNG Fashion Week team will travel to other centres for provincial fashion shows starting this week to select the best designer and model for the final show in Port Moresby.
PNG Fashion Week 2019 has expended its reach to Alotau, Kokopo, Wabag and Goroka .
The fashion show in Port Moresby would be a week-long event from Oct 7-12.
Apart from fashion shows PNG Fashion Week has a retail selling space at the Vision City mall in Port Moresby for artists and designers to sell their products.
