Father charged with murder returning to court next month

A-29-YEAR-old-man charged with the murder of his two sons aged two and five in Morata on April 27 will return to court on July 7. Police Prosecutor Snr Const Regina Kilip fixed the date yesterday because Magistrate Tracy Ganaii didn’t sit.
Snr Const Kilip also told The National that files for the case were not ready. Dave Benjamin Gau, from Wosera-Gawi’s Tigawi Niura village, East Sepik, was remanded. He is alleged to have stabbed Shane and Ethan to death when his wife stepped out of the house after an argument. Gau was taken to the Waigani police station, then transferred to the Boroko station for medical assessment on his mental state. He was later arrested and charged with two counts of murder.
