SELF-employed Gaudi Vagi, 50, won a Honda CRV car in a Stop & Shop Koki promotion in Port Moresby.
“I praise God. I did not expect this,” he said.
“I know this is God’s gift.”
Vagi, who placed his entry receipt into the bin provided at the outlet, was with his 28-year-old son Koani Gaudi when his name was called.
“I could not believe it,” he said. “I was just in tears when they called my name.”
Vagi spent K154.55 while shopping at the supermarket on Christmas Eve last year, and entered the draw.
There were 20,000 shoppers at Koki who entered the draw after spending K90 or more.
The car costs around K50,000, according to SNS marketing manager Regina Narokobi.
