Festival committee receives funding boost from BSP

BANK South Pacific has continued its support for the Warwagira 25th Mask Festival that is underway in Kokopo by presenting K10,000 to the National Mask and Warwagira organising committee.
Speaking at the presentation, BSP Kokopo branch manager Joe Makinta said the bank remained a proud sponsor of the festival.
“Being a home grown bank, it is our drive to see that PNG’s tourism and culture being promoted with positive messages,” he said.
Deputy chairman of the festival committee Tiolam Wawaga acknowledged BSP for their continued support.
“This annual event has grown from strength to strength, promoting culture and keeping our traditions alive for the future generations,” he said.
“We’re pleased to have the support of corporate sponsors like Bank South Pacific who have remained committed to ensuring that this festival is held every year, making it one of the most anticipated festivals on the Papua New Guinea cultural events calendar.”
This year, the festival will run from the July 10-14 in which the province expects to see an influx of visitors from within PNG and overseas.
BSP Kokopo staff will be present at the festival to conduct awareness on their small medium enterprise loan, home loan and personal loan products.
