Festive period hectic: Official

TRAVELLING especially during the festive period can be stressful and people should plan early to avoid problems, says PNG Air chief executive officer Paul Abbot.
“There are no special promotions available at this stage but watch out as we get closer to the Christmas break for PNG Air surprises,” Abbot told The National yesterday.
“I’d urge as many people as possible to book as early as they can as there is always a last minute rush and seats are limited.
“When it comes time to travel make sure you get to the airport well in advance as queues at the airports will be extremely large.
“Try not to take too much luggage as the weight limit is 16kg checked luggage and if you are carrying excess luggage on very full flights our priority will be to move people and therefore your excess luggage may have to wait for another flight.
“If transiting through another port please don’t leave the airport as we will be sticking to scheduled departure times and there will not be flexibility to go looking for passengers who may wandered off.”
