OCEANIA Football Confederation (OFC) president David Chung is looking to impress on visiting FIFA head of development programmes Lionel Loisel to feature in possible funding for Bougainville soccer under the “less privileged member associations initiative”.

Chung, who is also the Papua New Guinea Football Association (PNGFA) president arrived with Loisel in Port Moresby yesterday.

With the PNGFA looking to submit a proposal for funding to build a technical training centre in the Autonomous Region of Bougainville (AROB), the presence of Loisel gives the PNGFA a foot in the door.

Loisel will assess the AROB and advise Chung in lodging the application for FIFA funding.
