Fight in Kainantu getting out of hand

Letters

THIS is a call to Kainantu MP Johnson Tuke and those in authority to deploy an enforcement unit (police and defence) to stop fighting in the district.
There is an ongoing fight between the Yauntenu and Avinakenu tribes Agarabi local level government.
Many lives were lost, houses were burnt down, properties were destroyed, many were injured, and women and children were displaced as a result of the fight.
The fight has been going on for almost three weeks now.
The fight has also affected students from Yauna Bible College.
Police presence is needed here to address this.
Homemade guns, bows and arrows, knives and other weapons are being used in the fight.
A quick response from police and the army can save innocent women and children.
