A MAN was killed and his two brothers injured during a row with another man over logging royalties, police said.
New Ireland provincial police commander O’ena Afeke said the three were attacked by a man armed with a bush-knife at about 10am on Monday at Mateai village. He identified the deceased as Dickson Martin believed to be in his mid-30s.
He said the argument started at a logging camp site over logging royalties.
Police believe that armed man severed Martin’s right arm before severely wounding his two brothers.
They were rushed to the Kavieng general hospital but Martin later died. His brothers are reportedly in critical condition.
