THE Northern Karate Do Dojo squad members will track the Kokoda Trail to attend the National Karate Do championships in Port Moresby this week.

Association founder and president sempai Kevin Duna said his fighters would walk the famous trail to emulate their forefathers and as a preparation for the championship.

He added that the group did not have any funding support from the Northern provincial government and business houses in Popondetta but were being proactive with their situation.

Duna still appealed to the Northern MPs.

He thanked Governor Gary Juffa and Sohe MP Delilah Gore for supporting them in the first event in Port Moresby in May where they won a gold and seven silver medals.

The majority of the fighters are students and unemployed youths.
