LOCAL Fijian garment company, United Apparel, has become the official supplier for new uniforms to all BSP branches in the South Pacific. This was revealed last week as BSP unveiled new uniforms for its staff to the public, according to the Fiji Times Online.BSP country manager Kevin McCarthy said the uniforms had been a long time coming as BSP had been in the country for two years."The reason it had taken such a long time is that the whole BSP group decided they wanted new uniforms and what that meant was we conducted a world-wide search for a company to design and manufacture the uniform," McCarthy said.He said the search had been extended to Australia, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and Asia in order to find a suitable company."I am very delighted to say that a Fiji company was chosen to design the uniforms and that company is United Apparel," McCarthy said.He said the uniforms were being launched in Fiji first before they would be taken to the other countries where BSP operated.
