GIANT Fijian missionary Kaliova Seleiwau’s power is helping restore peace in violence-ravaged Lae city.
At Top Town yesterday, the man-mountain attracted a crowd to hear him preach the gospel and later perform amazing feats using his strength.
Known to his close friends and relatives as Kali, he stands seven feet and seven inches tall and weighs 165kg.
He demonstrates his power by ripping in two the telephone directory book and smashing concrete blocks with his bare hands.
His physical presence drew a curious crowd in front of the Singaut Christian book store.
A police mobile squad unit keep watch as he read verses from the Bible and shared with people his Christian testimony and experience.
Kali, 29, told the people that the greatest purpose in life was to serve God in a world he described as “getting darker and darker.”
He pointed out that sexual immorality – or sex outside of marriage – was one of the most hated sins.
He warned young people to avoid it.
His visit to Lae was facilitated by the Christian Mission Fellowship.
It  saw the need to help restore peace and normalcy in the lives of the residents who were affected by the recent ethnic uprising in Lae which resulted in the city being declared a fighting zone by the government.
Apart from the night crusades at Bowali Primary School in Yanga village, Kali will share God’s word and perform his physical feats at Eriku today and at the main market tomorrow.
He is a member of Team Extreme Ministry International based in Kansas in the United States of America.
Kali’s father is a Fijian chief.
He gave up everything including 3,000 acres of land and committed himself to spreading the word of God.
