Film to mark ties

THE European Union’s (EU) has announced the development of a documentary film to commemorate 40 years of cooperation with Papua New Guinea.
EU Ambassador Ioannis Giogkarakis-Argyropoulos said he was delighted that the EU and PNG had reached this level.
“It was two years ago whern we celebrated 40 years of partnership with PNG and from there we tried to look for ways to expose and capture this long history,” Giogkarakis-Argyropoulos said.
“It was quite challenging because we did a lot together over this 40 years and the challenge was on how to keep the memories alive in a way that it is educational, pleasant and entertaining.”
“It was at that time that we announced this very ambitious project to capture all this 40 years of history.”
