Final day of conference today

THE second and final day of the Papua New Guinea Advantage 2012 conference, which is dedicated entirely to the promotion and investment in PNG, will continue today at the Gateway Hotel in Port Moresby.
Highlights of today will include discussions on infrastructure by Asian Development Bank PNG country director Marcelllo Minc, potential of hydro power in PNG by World Bank senior energy specialist for East Asia and the Pacific Robert Aiello, and capitalising PNG’s state-owned enterprises by Independent Public Business Corporation managing director Thomas Abe.
There will also be a ports forum and an energy forum in the morning, and a road and air transport forum and an ICT forum in the afternoon.
Afternoon discussions will focus on state-owned enterprises, and current opportunities in PNG.
There will also be the PNG Made Trade Expo, which is organised by the PNG Manufacturers’ Council and run in conjunction with the conference.
