CORPORATE Touch Port Moresby premiership favourites Moni-Plus were shaken by Islands Petroleum before escaping to a 2-1 win in the Open Men’s division.

The atmosphere at Apex Park, Boroko was heavy with tension as Moni-Plus’ PNG internationals Paul Kasisie and classy Eugene Eka worked overtime to snatch the match winner after the scores were leveled 1-1 in the first half.

Both sides attacked and defended in an evenly-matched and  contested match.

As the opposition’s impenetratble wall of defence began to tire, Moni-Plus’ playmaker Eka crossed over the line to score the winner and defend it against a rejuvenated Islands side.

In the Masters matches, Ela Motors withstood unbelievable pressure from Transport to win 4-3 in a thrilling game with Lou Bani scoring the winning try  for the automakers.
